The Friends of the Harrisburg District Library promote the growth of library services, make the public aware of the library services to all residents, generate monies to expand the physical facility and the number of people served, develop interest in library projects and programs, and stimulate the giving of gifts and bequests to the library. Please become a Friend and show support with your monetary gift, volunteer your unique talents, or serve on a committee. You may mail your form or drop it by the library, you can also pick up a form at the library. The Friends of the Library group is a vital part of our library. They operate a bookstore on the library’s lower level. The bookstore is open during regular library hours.
Engraved bricks are available through the Friends of the Library. When you buy a memorial brick, you not only honor someone’s name or memory, but you will also help us sponsor various programs at the library. The brick that you purchase will be added to the existing memorial brick patio located near the north entrance. The patio is a place all library friends can cherish. We hope you will become part of it. Bricks have three message lines with 14 characters (including spaces) per line. If you have a long message and need more than one brick, the bricks will be placed in the arrangement you create. To order bricks, click here for the order form, or forms are also available at the library.
